HTC Dream

Google corporation presented in New York the mobile phone HTC Dream crgoogle HTC Dreameated on the basis of the Android platform, which, as it is expected, will become an innovational break through in mobile devices production.

The HTC Dream communicator also known as G1 is equipped with sensor display with 480x320 resolution, siding QWERTY keypad, 3G and Wi-Fi nets support GPS module and 3 mega pixel camera. Together with the device the corpus of which is made in three colors (white, black and brown) there is a 1 Gb memory card.

The mobile platform Android will present to the novelty owners Google access with just one display touch. Other services of the Internet giant such as Google maps with Street View and Traffic View functions, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Talk and Youtube will be accessible to the HTC Dream users. Besides G1 will have the access to the mobile version of the online music shop Amazon and Android market attachments collection. All this positions the communicator first of all as the device for the mobile internet users.

T-Mobile Company became the exclusive operator of the G1 in the USA. It will sell the device together with the two year contract with the $179 for each one. Even today T-Mobile users can order G1 that will appear on sale on the territory of the USA beginning with October 22. In Great Britain G1 appearance is expected in November, in other European countries – in the beginning of the next year. Data transfer in the T-Mobile nets will cost the users $25-35 a month depending on the package.

Regardless of the all the device positive sides, the analytics are not very enthusiastic about its sales. Strategy Analytics Company considers that during the fourth quarter of this year about 400 thousand G1 phones will be sold, while new iPhone 3G during the three months period has 1,39 million sales.

In November this year HTC Dream will appear in Great Britain and next year will appear on other European markets.

At the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona the Sony Ericsson Company announced about the desire to release spartphones on the basis of the Windows Mobile operational systems. The first device of this kind will appear on sale by the end of the year. The stand of the world's largest mobile phone developer includes besides the first Windows smartphone six more models among which there are two phones with sensor displays, new model of the Walkman series with 8Gb built in memory, dust protected camera phone. This article will be devoted to the first smartphone of the company based on Windows Mobile, XPERIA X1.
